Al Ijaza is the official permit which the student receives from his sheikh, and it is proof that the student knows well how to read the Qur’an with elaborate Tajweed , and it is linked to a chain of narrators of the Prophet peace be upon him. Al Ijaza is a permit granted only to students who have memorized the Qur’an, but sometimes it can be granted to the proficient reader.
